Up the Bakgagas who on their way to this final had overcome giants, BidVest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns showed their intension to lift the title from the word go, scoring their first goal in the last minute of the first half via Jemondre Dickens in this fast flowing final played in front of the almost packed Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
Pirates who were reduced to 10 men however five minutes into the second half after Marshal Munetsi was given marching orders for a bad tackle on Dickens came back revived in the second half and levelled the matters through Musa Nyathama.
