GOSPEL Music has been part of the festive season over the past years in many households across the country during this time of the year as we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
While most of these gospel music lovers will closer to their CDs playing deices to listen their favourite musicians, the Tabernacle Family Worship Centre in Lenyenye outside Tzaneen will be dancing to the music live from Gabriel Aka Rev G’s new album Yauweh Elohim.
Born Gabriel Mashego, the Phalaborwa born pastor and a father of three daughters is expected to perform live in a church conference at Bishop Dafren Peter Makhaya’s Tabernacle Family Worship Centre in Lenyenye from December 19-21.
Said Mashego: “I feel very blessed to have been invited to perform there, and I look forward to promote this new album of mine which I just finished recording few weeks ago. Lenyenye was once my second home after spending three years there as a Bible College student at the ABC in the 90s and it gives me pleasure to go there again and this time to promote my music.”
Among Aka Rev G’s hits on the album which will leave most Christians blessed on this three days performance include the song titled Take Care which is also a sound track at the movie called Nyaope Gangsters which is being shown on Mnet’s Mzansi Movie Channels and Uno Musa…Uno Thando track which is also feature on the same movie.
After performing at Lenyenye, Aka Rev G who has also written a sound track for the soon to be shown movie called Masheleng Part 3 which will be also be flightened on Mzansi Movie channels will have his next performance at Bishop Refilwe Sebola’s CTC Church in Bolobedu on Christmas Day (December 25) before moving shifting the focus to Ga-Mamphaka village in the Mamabolo area outside Mankweng where he will also perform at the Holy Ghost Fire Conference on December 26 and 27 before moving to Magudo in Mpumalanga on December 31 where he will also perform in a church conference.
Bishop Makhaya said they are very excited to have Aka Rev G coming to perform at their church, more so because this will be his first performance since releasing the new album.
Among other invited guest at this week long revival title Celebrating God’s Faithfulness which started on December 14 include Prophet July and Bishop Selete who are both from Mokopane.
