KINGS CUP KICKS OFF IN ZEBEDIELA

THE long awaited annual Kings Cup in Zebediela kick-off tomorrow with eight clubs taking each other in a mini-league format at the Madisha Ditoro’s Golden Arrows Sports Ground.
Sponsored by 1 Central Shisanyama, Kings Cup which marks its second year has proved to provide families with a much needed fun days during the festive.
Kings Cup’s Tebogo Phara Baloyi told Lepelle Review that this year they have increased the prize so as to motivate clubs.
“This year the winning clubs will be R13 000 richer as opposed to last year’s R10 000. Our aim is to grow this tournament as years go by and we are just hoping to attract big sponsors very soon to achieve that,” said Baloyi.
Baloyi added that: “We have also introduced the netball tournament to this year’s competition, and spectators can also embrace themselves for Masters Football competition as well.”
Fans will be treated to an action packed, filled with the shibobos, tsamayas and show me your number in the opening match which will see Madisha Leolo Iraq taking on Kgobadi Flying Birds at 10am before Mathibela TK United could entertain Magatle Shooting Kings at 12 mid-day.
The rest of the fixtures for the day are: Madisha Real X1 v Real Rovers (2pm) and Madisha United v China FC (4pm)
23 December: MAKWENG (MAKWENG TIGERS SPORTS GROUND)
10am: Makweng Tigers v Mathibela Young Boys
1pm: Heineken v Molapo Amaglug-Glug
3pm: Mawaneng Home Stars v Mathibela TC FC
5pm: Rakgoatha Falcons v Mandebele Happy Fighters.
After these matches, the focus will be shifted to Ga-Ntamatisi’s Mmamogashoa Sports Ground on December 27 with eight clubs battling it out to book their positions in the semi-final matches. The semi-finals are expected to take place on December 29 at the Ga-Rakgoatha’s All Stars Sports Ground while the match to decide the third/fourth position finishers will be played at Moletlane’s Mandebele Sports Ground on 30 December at 1pm, then followed by the final match at the same venue at 4pm…watch this space for more update

1st: R13 000 plus a full soccer kit
2nd: R8 000 plus a full soccer kit
3rd position: R5 000
4th prize: R2 500
Masters:
1st: R2 000
2nd: R1 000
Netball:
1st: R3 500 plus a netball kit
2nd:R2 000 plus a netball kit
3rd: R500
