HER name is Phodiso Phoebe kgomoesona and she is not just a beauty with brains, but she is also a book worm.
At the age of 22, the young lad from Lebowakgomo has told our sister publication, Lepelle Review that she is looking forward to achieve double this year, both at her studies at the University of Limpopo where she is studying Bcom Accounting and modelling career.
Phodisho was in cloud nine after recently selected among other finalist who are vying for Miss Limpopo.
“The news came as music to my ears as this will help me improve my profile as a model,” said Phodisho who will be representing Lepelle Nkumpi in this prestigious pageant.
Phodisho said her passion in the modelling circle was realised as early as she was just nine years.
“It was back in 2005 when I developed passion for modelling, and this was when I watching TV when I witnessed Nokuthula Sithole being crowned Miss South Africa,” recalled Phodisho
Although she had a burning desire to be a model as she was growing, Phodisho said she had to wait for the right time to start persuading it as a career.
“I had to wait until I was 17 years when I decided to follow my dreams, and that was in 2013 when I entered and won Miss Lebowakgomo Personality. My achievement in that competition though was not what I wanted, and I remembered how I cried after failing to be crowned a Queen. That did not however did not stop me from going for what I wanted to be as later that year joined Miss BEM Polokwane and won the title,” said Phodisho
About Miss Limpopo, Phodisho told Lepelle Review that it has been a dream to wear that sash since 2015.
“This after I was motivated by Mosia Tau from Zebediela who won this competition. I would always pray to GOD to open the doors for me and prepare me for this journey every year since 2015 but always had obstacles on the way when it was time to enter.
As a Miss Limpopo finalist one of Phodisho’s tasks is to raise funds and she is asking some donations from everyone who is willing to help me make her dream come true.
