Absa Premiership will kick-off as scheduled after Ajax withdraw their interdict

THE Premier Soccer League is in a celebratory mood after Ajax Cape Town withdrew their urgent application to interdict kick-off for the start of Absa Premiership’s 2018/19 season.
This after Gauteng High Court Judge Fisher granted the league to appeal against her judgement earlier this month that Ajax be reinstated to the 15th position after the club was automatically relegate to the National First Division (NFD) following on the Tendai Ndoro saga.

In a twist of event, Fisher granted PSL leave to appeal against her ruling, the decision that saw the Urban Warriors deciding to withdraw their application. Ajax we since ordered to pay the league’s legal costs of the application.
This is not just good news for PSL alone who have already finalised their 2018/19 fixtures, but also to Black Leopards who earned promotion to the elite league via the recent promotional play-offs.

Leopards who returns to the top flight league after four years play their first game against cross-town neighbours, Polokwane City in a Limpopo Derby at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in the province’s capital, Polokwane.
