BAFANA Bafana will play an international friendly match against Tanzania.
The clash will take place in Tanzania on May 14 as part of Bafana Bafana’s
preparations for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
South Africa’s next AFCON qualifier is a return leg encounter against Egypt
scheduled for the first weekend of June 2011 in Cairo.
SAFA Acting CEO, Pinky Lehoko says the match against Tanzania will provide
coach Pitso Mosimane and his technical team with an opportunity to prepare
for the crucial upcoming matches.
“We are proceeding with our strategy of staging mini camps as part of
supporting our national teams. We are confident as the Association that this
international friendly against Tanzania will contribute positively in our quest
to achieve our immediate goal of qualifying for the 2012
AFCON finals to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon,” said Lehoko.
