The police have alleged that Slater sent unwanted text messages and made intimidating phone calls over the past six months.

He is scheduled for another court appearance at the end of May.

During the court session, it was disclosed that Slater has mental health conditions that may lead to “impulsive and reckless” behavior, as reported by ABC News.

Slater had a distinguished cricket career, playing 74 Test matches for Australia from 1993 to 2001, scoring over 5,000 runs, which included 14 centuries.

He also participated in 42 one-day internationals before retiring from all forms of cricket in 2004.
