WHEN Ithuba was awarded the country’s third lottery licence the company made a bold declaration to reinvigorate the South African National Lottery, and also bring innovation and fun back into the lottery.
In keeping in line with this vision, Ithuba is proud to announce its newest game, RAFFLE. A first of its kind in the South African National Lottery’s portfolio, the game promises excitement and enticing prizes.
The RAFFLE game theme will vary from season-to-season. The new Christmas RAFFLE game guarantees that 15 lucky jackpot winners will each walk away with an exclusive top of the range Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has a sporty classy look with unmeasurable quality, comfort and solidity.
A further 45 second division winners will each walk away with R100 000 in cash, with 500 third division winners walking away with R10 000 each and 1000 fourth division winners letting R1 000 each.
RAFFLE is an on-line game that utilises a computerised terminal to record sales and also to validate prize claims. Participants may enter the game by buying a RAFFLE ticket retailing at R20 each. Players cannot pick their own numbers as all tickets for the RAFFLE are generated through a “Quick Play” system. The ticket number selection is made on a random basis by a random number generator and will be issued in a sequential order.
This game follows Ithuba’s CEO, Charmaine Mabuza, commitment to offer players with continuously fresh and exciting games across the National Lottery brand. “Enhanced consumer experience and engagement is what we’ve always wanted to bring to the National Lottery, and we are confident that with this game we will achieve just that”, said Mabuza.
“In the short space of time that Ithuba has been operating the National Lottery, we have 94 millionaires and over 70 million winners across all games. With the launch of RAFFLE, we are announcing to the South African public that we remain dedicated to renewing games and in the process setting a new benchmark for the South African lottery,” concluded Mabuza.
Sales for the game will start on the 30 October 2016 and only two million tickets will be made available. Ticket sales will close 30 December 2016 with a draw set to take place on the same day. Tickets for the game can be purchased at any existing National Lottery outlet.
The RAFFLE game is the third game that Ithuba has launched since taking over the operating licence 16 months ago, making it a total of seven games in the Ithuba product portfolio.
