The NFD Inland Stream clash between Jomo Cosmos and Batau FC was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the Makhulong Stadium on Wednesday.
The match commissioner Ronnie Johnson and referee Thabo Nkosi called the game off.
“The players safety comes first and this pitch was waterlogged. It was not conducive for football. Also the lines washed off and it was impossible to put it on this wet pitch,” Johnson said.
The game is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30pm at the same venue
Despite the heavy rains that has affected the whole country lately, the Cosmos-Batau match is the second one to be postponed after the Bloemfontein Celtic v Kaizer Chiefs match last Sunday was also called off. The two clubs however went on to play to a 2-2 draw last night
