THE province of Limpopo was announced as the “Best Destination 2011” at the annual Getaway Outdoor Show which was staged in Gauteng at the Coca-Cola Dome from recently.
The CEO of LTP Mr. Rob Tooley was very excited at the news and said, “This is indeed very wonderful news for us and we hope Limpopo has taken its rightful position as an ideal destination for outdoor and adventure enthusiasts”.
The Western Cape and Gauteng Getaway Outdoor show hosted bi-annually are the leading travel and outdoor shows in Africa, generating media exposure to the value of 5.5 million, attracting over 35 000 visitors to over 350 informative and interactive exhibitors.
The show is an ideal outing for travel, adventure and outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors were exposed to the latest outdoor products and accessories from brands like 4×4 Megaworld, Camp Master, Cape Union Mart, Columbia Sportswear, Trappers, Echo 4×4 Centre, Campworld and Howling Moon. Many of South Africa and Africa’s finest destinations showcased their offerings including South African National Parks, Limpopo Tourism, Eastern Cape Tourism & Parks, North West Parks & Tourism, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mauritius and so much more.
Limpopo Products that showcased at this year’s show included Waterberg District Municipality, African Ivory Route, Zantspruit, Fusion Boutique Hotel, Vuwa Safari Tours, Makgalies Adventure and many more.
