THE Premier Soccer League (PSL) has revealed that Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium will host the 2013/14 MTN8 final.
The MTN8 final will be played on September 28. Kick-off will be at 8.15pm.
PSL CEO, Brand de Villiers said a number of venues were considered for this year’s MTN8 finale. “We engaged a number of role players before we could take our decision to take the MTN8 final to Moses Mabhida.
“Durban has been good to us in the last few finals we have taken there, the people of Durban have responded positively and we recognise and reward that. Our last final at the Moses Mabhida was sold out with few days to go and we are hoping to replicate that now. I would like to thank other cities who also showed interest in hosting the Wafa-Wafa final.”
De Villiers said it was important for the League to announce the MTN8 final venue early to enable people to prepare travel logistics to Durban.
The PSL CEO revealed that tickets for the MTN8 final will go on sale in the next few days. “We will not know the two teams that will play in the final until September 24 after the second leg of the competition between the four clubs involved. We cannot wait that long before we print tickets. Tickets for the Final will go on sale before the semis are played – this will create excitement among the fans.”
