Oddsmakers Skeptical of South Africa’s Olympic Sevens Prospects

France has emerged as the frontrunner for the Olympic Rugby Sevens gold medal, facing stiff competition from Argentina and other leading teams. As the host country, France is favored to clinch the Gold Medal in Men’s Rugby Sevens at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. According to BetIdeas, France, also known as Les Bleus, has a 20% chance of winning gold on their home turf this summer, based on calculations of each country’s odds in the Men’s Sevens. Antoine Dupont, a prominent figure in rugby, led France to its first Sevens title in 19 years at the Los Angeles Sevens event on Sunday.
