ORLANDO Pirates chairman Dr Irvin Khoza has confirmed that the club has entered into a contract to keep Augusto Palacios as coach of both the senior team and development for the 2012/2013 season.
“This will enable Palacios to have a ‘see-through’ benefit that will ensure the club does not lose out on players in whose development he has dedicated much effort”, said Dr Khoza.
Meanwhile, Palacios said: “I am grateful for the opportunities and support I have received from the Chairman in the many years I have been with Orlando Pirates.”
Palacios took over the reigns from Julio Leah with less than ten league matcue title. Before taking over as a care-taker coach, Pirates under Leal had already won two titles with the club, the MTN 8 and the Telkom Knockout
