AS it has been expected, Orlando Pirates have been hauled before the Absa Premiership’s DC where they will officially be charged of pitch invansion and bringing the league into disrepute.
This follow last Saturday’s incident which saw the excited Pirates fans invading the pitch at the Orlando Stadium after referee Robert Sithole blew the final whistle during the Soweto giants’ 2-1 victory over Golden Arrows. The Pirates fans ignored the club spokesperson, Mickey Modisane’s repeated earlier orders when he pleaded with them not to invade the pitch after the final whistle, as they went on to storm into the pitch to celebrate the club’s glorious season which saw them lifted their first Absa Premiership title which has eluded them for the past eight years.
The outgoing Premier Soccer League prosecutorinal, Zola Majavu conformed that the 2010/11 league champions will appear before the league’s DC tomorrow at their offices (PSL) at 6pm.
