Security measures for Soweto Derby-spectators urged to take note

Calm before storm…The FNB Stadium which will host the Soweto Derby this coming Saturday.

STADIUM Management South Africa (SMSA) have put a number of new security measures in place around the precinct at FNB Stadium for the Soweto Derby this coming Saturday (October 21).

The public and spectators are urged to take note of these new measures and to adhere to the rules and regulations put in place to ensure a successful event.

TICKETS

No tickets will be sold at FNB Stadium on the day of the event.

No tickets should be bought from third parties or unregistered vendors.

Persons caught selling tickets as a third party and or on the day of the event at the stadium shall be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

PARKING & ACCESS TO STADIUM ROADS

No vehicles will be allowed into the stadium precinct without the correct parking ticket.

Parking tickets are only available from Computicket and their outlets.

No parking ticket = no vehicle entry

No “drop-offs” will be allowed within the precinct without the correct parking ticket.

ARRIVE EARLY

All spectators are encouraged to be at the stadium and seated by 2pm.

Ticketed spectators are encouraged to come to the stadium early to avoid frustration.

Gates open at 12h00.

DISABLED PARKING & ACCESS

Supporters who rely on the use of a wheelchair need to proceed to Gate G and enter the stadium via turnstile 12. Please note specific tickets need to be purchased for those who which to make use of the disabled parking. The general public will not be allowed to park in this designated parking area.
