Springbok Supporters Warned About Scams Involving Fake Test Match Tickets

SA Rugby has issued a warning to Springbok fans regarding the purchase of Test match tickets from unauthorized service providers and websites.

The organization confirmed that tickets for the Springbok home Tests against teams like the All Blacks, Ireland, Argentina, and Portugal will be available for sale soon.

In an announcement released on Tuesday, SA Rugby informed Springbok supporters and the broader South African public that tickets for the six home Tests of the year would be going on sale shortly. These tickets can only be bought through official channels, primarily from the service provider of the hosting union.

The statement from SA Rugby emphasized, “Important notice: Tickets for the Springboks’ six home Tests in 2024 will go on sale soon, but as of now, no tickets are available. Please wait for the official sales to begin and ensure to purchase only through official channels.”

Both the Stormers and Sharks relayed this ticketing information on their social media platforms. The Stormers specifically mentioned that tickets for the Springboks’ Test against the All Blacks at Cape Town Stadium on 7th September would be sold exclusively on the Ticketpro platform.

Details regarding the specific dates for ticket sales and the price range for these highly sought-after tickets are expected to be announced in the coming days.
