The US Masters T10 league is a cricket tournament that was conceived with the goal of promoting cricket in the United States. It was one the first tournaments sanctioned by the International Cricket Council which was held in the T10 format. The inaugural edition of the tournament was held in 2023.
The six teams who were a part of the 2024 edition were California Bolts, Detroit Falcons, Chicago Players, New York Warriors, Atlanta Riders, and Morrisville Unity. Texas Chargers, who won the inaugural edition of the event were not a part of the 2024 edition.
A draft of 500 player registrations showcased the depth of the competition. Of these only 60 spots across the teams were filled. Each team had a global superstar and an icon player.The tournament is played in two phases. The first phase is a double round-robin wherein each team plays the other twice. A match win is worth two points and no points are awarded for a loss. If a match ends with no result then both teams get one point each. In the second phase, the top four teams qualify for the play-offs. The third and fourth positioned teams play an eliminator. The winner of this match faces the loser of the first qualifier that is played between the top two teams of the round-robin phase. Eventually, the winner of this match joins the winner of the first qualifier in the final.
Since each innings has ten overs, a bowler cannot bowl more than two overs. Field restrictions apply for the first three overs of the innings. Should a match end in a tie, then a super over decides the winner of the match. If the super over is tied, then another super over is played till a winner is declared.
Every test playing nation has a broadcast media through which they can enjoy the US Masters T10 league. It has particularly gained popularity due to the mix of retired, international, and young players in each team. As of May 2025, the second edition of the US Masters T10 league is yet to be played.
